Alvin "Luke" Howard

Alvin "Luke" Howard, 33, of Lake Jackson, Texas, passed away on Tuesday, August 20, 2024, in Herrin, Illinois.  Luke was born on March 10, 1991, the son of Kathy (Adams) and Alvin Howard.

Luke grew up in Lake Jackson, Texas.  He went on to serve an electrical apprenticeship and has been employed by Higdon Construction LLC for over 10 years.

He is survived by his children Alvin "Blaine" Howard, Easton Colt Howard, Tauren Howard, and Jaxx Howard; the love of his life Chelsea LeeAnna Edmonds-Howard; his parents Kathy and Alvin Howard; his brother Matthew (Amelia) Howard; his nieces June Elizabeth Howard and Cadance Isabella Howard; his nephew Strider Reign Howard; Michelle Ann Howard, the mother of his children, along with other relatives and friends.

He is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents Alvin Looney and Emma Aletha Howard; his maternal grandparents Billy G. and Wilma Jean Adams.

Luke was very giving and generous with his time, always there for the ones he loved the most.  He enjoyed fishing, and guns. He was interested in action filled hobbies since childhood, from watching The Duke's of Hazard with his brother, to riding go carts, and dirt bikes, anything that got his adrenalin flowing. Most importantly, he loved his boys above all else.

A celebration of Luke's life will be held on Saturday, September 21, 2024, at MacLean Park Outdoor Pavilion in Lake Jackson, Texas, from 1:00 - 5:00 P.M.
