Annette (Johns) Cavitt

Annette (Johns) Cavitt, 79, of Marion, passed away Sunday, March 17, 2024, at her home, The Voyage Senior Living of Marion.

Annette was born on December 21, 1944, in Marion to Edward and Floy Johns.  She married Daniel Gail Cavitt on March 10, 1962, in Marion.  Together they shared 55 wonderful years of marriage.

Annette is the mother to Angela Gail Morris; grandmother to Kaitlyn Nicole Morris and Hayden Scott Morris; great grandmother to Kasen Lee Chamness.

She is preceded in death by her husband Daniel Cavitt, March 4, 2018.

Annette and Daniel were dedicated members of First Church of God in Marion since 1960.  Annettee loved to sing in the church choir.

Even though Alzheimer’s changed some things for Annette certain things never changed.  Annette still spoke of her family, her church family, and never stopped singing her hymns.

Annette’s motto for her family and friends “Whenever you’re struggling reach out and get closer with the Lord.”

Annette has finally found peace after Alzheimer’s.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 21, 2024, from 11:00 AM -1:00 PM at Binkley-Ross Funeral Home located at 1702 West Boulevard Street, Marion, Illinois. Funeral Services will begin at 1:00 PM with Pastor Roy Pepmiller officiating. Interment will follow in Maplewood Cemetery in Marion.

The family would like to thank the compassionate and caring staff of The Voyage Senior Living for the gentle way they loved on Annette and for their unwavering dedication to her care while she lived there. We will never forget how you took care of her and how loved you made her feel every day.
