Bobbi Burke

Herrin- Roberta Bobbi Burke, 56, of Herrin, died at 6:30 AM, Saturday, September 25, 2004 at Memorial Hospital of Carbondale. She was born on Halloween Day 1947 in West Frankfort to Robert Loyd & Janet (Ramsey) Waters Ebersohl. She married Gary Burke on June 14, 1969 in Herrin. He preceded her in death on August 9, 1995. Mrs. Burke retired as a registered nurse for Dr. M. Lary. She formerly worked as head ER Nurse at Herrin Hospital for twenty-seven years. She was of Baptist faith. SURVIVORS: Mother- Janet Ebersohl- Herrin Daughter- Brandy Forbes- Newark, OH Son- Dale Burke- Sandstone, MN Four Grandchildren: Jason Bolte- Newark, OH Tristin Forbes- Newark, OH William Forbes- Newark, OH Charli Burke- Herrin Best Friends: Linda Mullins- Herrin Brenda Mckeand- Herrin Betty Clay- Herrin Louanne Tabor- Herrin Lynn Chitty- Herrin She was preceded in death by her father, husband & step-father; Jack Ebersohl. A graveside funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM, Monday, September 27, 2004 at Herrin City Cemetery. Rev. Don Colson will officiate. Friends are asked to gather directly at the cemetery. Services have been entrusted to Johnson-Hughes Funeral Home in Herrin. Memorial donations may be made to the family of Bobbi Burke and will be accepted both at the funeral home and cemetery.
