Bonita Ruth (Gwin) Moore

Bonita Ruth (Gwin) Moore peacefully passed away September 29, 2024, at Parkway Manor's
Memory Lane in in Marion, Illinois. She was born February 29, 1936, to the late John and Josephine
(Souheaver) Gwin. Bonita graduated from Harrisburg Township High School with the class of
1953, where she was involved in various clubs and activities. She continued her involvement
with her class for years, keeping track of classmates and helping plan reunions. Bonita was very
creative and produced many beautiful pieces of needlework.
She is survived by Kathy (Steve) Powell and Sara (Larry) Beal, all of Ozark, Illinois and Mike Moore
of Harrisburg, Illinois; grandchildren, Ben Beal of Harrisburg, Illinois, Kristin (Patrick) Horstmann of
Murphysboro, Illinois, Megan (Ryan) Hill of New Burnsides, Illinois and Jillian Powell of Nashville, Tennessee;
great grandchildren, Tucker and Elizabeth Horstmann of Murphysboro and Ryder, Rieslyn and
Rhett Hill of New Burnside.
Bonita is also survived by her sisters, Denita Jones of Harrisburg and LaNell Hensley of
Michigan.

Bonita requested that no services be held. Contributions in her honor may be made to
the Alzheimer's Association. Binkley-Ross Funeral Home has been entrusted to assist the family with arrangements.
