Burnette Campbell

Burnette Campbell, 91, of Marion, passed away at 3:55am on Wednesday November 24, 2004 at Heartland Regional Medical Center. Burnette was born September 23, 1913 in Marion, IL to Pearl and Sarah Logan Henderson Deaton. She married Roy Campbell on June 12, 1938 in Paducah, KY. He preceded her in death on December 1, 1983. Mrs. Campbell was the retired Co-Owner of Stylart Ladies Apparel for over 60 years. She lived in San Francisco and New York while her husband, Roy, served in WWII. She and Roy traveled world wide. Burnette loved to play bridge and enjoyed animals, mostly dogs, her entire life. She was a member of the 1st Baptist Church in Marion and a former member of the Fortnightly, Hospital Auxiliary, and the Delta Theta Tau Sorority. Survivors Include: 1 Son- Joe Campbell-Marion, IL 1 Daughter- Cindy (Campbell) Hunt-Marion,IL 1 Son-In-Law- Brad Hunt- Marion, IL 2 Grandchildren- Logan Hunt - Marion, IL Campbell Hunt- Marion, IL Step Grandchildren- Emily Hunt Kincaid Scott Hunt 1 Step Great Grandchild- Madelyn Kincaid 1 Niece- Sue McCoskey- Marion, IL 2 Great Nephews- Brad & Lorin McCoskey- Boca Raton, FL Jeff McCoskey- Marion, IL 1Great Niece- Cortney McCoskey- Marion, IL Preceded in death by: Parents Husband- Roy Campbell 2 sisters- Bea Ford and Berniece Thaxton Step Granddaughter- Audra Moroni Funeral services will be Sunday, November 28th at 1:00 P.M. at Mitchell-Hughes Funeral Home in Marion with Dr. Joey Brent Officiating. Entombment will follow at Rose Hill Cemetery in Marion. Visitation will be Saturday from 5:00 9:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
