Dallas Travelstead

January 30, 1977 — November 4, 2013

Marion-Dallas D. Travelstead, 36, passed away on Monday, November 4, 2013 at Franklin County Hospital as a result of a mining accident. Dallas was born on January 30, 1977 in Marion to Delmar and Jamie (Dotson) Travelstead. He married Jamie Norris on July 2, 2002 in Las Vegas.  She survives of Marion. Dallas loved riding motorcycles and spending time with his family.  He enjoyed work, camping and pulling practical jokes.  He was a good son, father, husband and brother and will be greatly missed by all. Survivors include: Wife-Jamie Travelstead Children: Taylor Travelstead Ethen D. Travelstead Mother-Jamie McGee and husband James of Marion Father-Delmar Travelstead and wife Kerry Brother-John Travelstead and wife Stephanie of Marion Maternal grandparents-James Dotson of Marion and Don and Peggy Fluck of Marion Father-in-law-Ronnie Norris and wife Patty of Marion Mother-in-law-Lenora Miller and husband Tony of Nashville, Tennessee Sister-in-law-Amie Dobbs and husband Bobby of Marion Step-brothers and sisters: Jason Norris Brandon Hoover Apryl Zuercher Brandon McCormack Kristen Brown Chelsea McCormack Michael McGee Aunts and Uncles: Polianna Benedict and husband Keith of Marion Vince Fluck Cousins: Whitney Teal Thomas Benedict Matt Wall Angie Wall Many nieces and nephews He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Robert and Mary Travelstead and aunt, Robin Travelstead. The family would like to give their sincere and deepest appreciation to Black Diamond Harley Davidson and Mach Mine LLC. Funeral services will be at 2pm on Sunday, November 10, 2013 at Blue Funeral Home in Marion with Rev. Chris Cutsinger officiating.  Burial will follow at Davis Prairie Cemetery.  Visitation will be on Sunday, November 10, 2013 from 10am until the time of service at the funeral home. Memorial donations are suggested to Jamie Travelstead for a college fund for his children and will be accepted at Blue Funeral Home/ 1704 N. Court/ Marion, IL 62959
