Danny K. Pike

Marion- Danny K. Pike, 54, of Marion, passed away at 11:30 AM, Wednesday, May 18, 2011 at Marion Rehab and Care Center. Danny was born on October 27, 1956 in Marion to William and Eva (Vincent) Pike. He worked most recently as assistant grocery manager at Save-A-Lot. Before that, he worked several years at Excel Mines and Pepsi of Mid America in Marion. He enjoyed spending time with his family and especially liked to fish with his son on the family pond. He also liked listening to rock music from the 60s and 70s. Survivors include- Daughter- Jessica Leigh Ann Pike of Marion Son- Ryan Mitchell Pike of Marion Grandchild- Caden Drake Osborn Pike Brother- Michael Pike of Carbondale Brother- Steven Pike of Marion Sister- Debbie Buchanan and husband Steve of Plainfield, IL Sister- Sherry Hunter and husband Kent of OFallon, MO Sister- April Brown and husband Mike of Mt. Juliet, TN Several nieces and nephews He was preceded in death by his parents. As per his wishes, his body will be cremated and a memorial service will be held at 4:00 PM, Sunday, May 22, 2011 at Mitchell-Hughes Funeral Home in Marion. Rev. Steve Melroy will officiate. A time of gathering will be begin at 2:00PM and extend until time of service, Sunday at the funeral home.
