Darrell Lee Duncan

Darrell Lee Duncan, age 68, of Marion, Illinois passed away March 4, 2025. He was born on August 16,1956 in Carbondale, Illinois. He was the son of Kenneth and Myrtle (Susie) Duncan of Marion. He was married to Joyce Glasco Duncan on August 21, 1976. Together they shared one daughter, Khani Duncan.

During Darrell’s early childhood years, he grew up and traveled along with his dad who booked concerts for gospel groups. He learned to play the drums and became an excellent drummer. He competed at State as a long-distance runner for Marion Jr. High. Some of Darrell’s hobbies were studying aircrafts and following the Cardinal baseball team. Darrell was a member of Marion Third Baptist Church.

Survivors are his wife, Joyce Duncan, his daughter Khani Duncan and her special friend, Brian Bevis; his sisters-in-law Marla (Ron) Smart, Kyna Glasco-Travelstead; brother-in-law, Bryce (Jaimie) Glasco, several nieces and nephews, cousins, friends, and a close friend, Keith Alan.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother Joe Duncan, father-in-law Kenneth Glasco, and brother-in-law Donnie Travelstead.

Binkley-Ross Funeral Home has been entrusted to assist the family with graveside burial arrangements. Private graveside family service will be held Thursday, March 20, 2025, at Jonesboro City Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests with gratitude that donations be made to the Duncan family.
