Diana Jackson

Diana Jackson, age 83, passed away peacefully on March 29, 2025, at Helia Healthcare in Energy. Diana was born in Murphysboro, Illinois, to Walter Cochran and Gloria Calvert Fisher. Throughout her life she lived and worked various occupations in multiple states including Tennessee, Mississippi, and Texas before returning to Illinois when she retired. Diana was married to Harry Ausburn for 20 years, during their time together they enjoyed camping and fishing with friends.

Diana remarried in 1986 to Samuel Jackson, they were together until his death in 2015. Together they enjoyed traveling, karaoke, and going to country music concerts.

Surviving family members include one daughter, Robyn (Ronald) Hastings; three grandchildren, Terry (Kenya) Davis, Courtney (Nick) Sarkany and Cody (Hayley) Hastings; five great grandchildren, Lily, Victoria, Theodore, Benjamin and Franklin; four brothers, Bob Cochran, George (Brenda) Calvert, Michael (Vickie) Calvert and Steve Calvert.

She is preceded in death by her Husband, her parents and brother Ronald Calvert.

Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Blue Funeral Home under the direction of Binkley-Ross. Funeral services will be held at Blue Funeral Home located at 1704 North Court Street, Marion, Illinois, on Thursday, April 3, 2025, at 11:00 am. Burial will be at Pleasant Grove Cemetery in Murphysboro. Diana will be dearly missed by all who knew her. Family would like to extend a heartfelt thanks to Helia Healthcare and their staff for the care and love provided to Diana over the last few years.
