Elizabeth R. Phillips

Marion Elizabeth Rosalie (Betty Rose) Phillips, 71, formerly of Brookport, passed away February 7, 2003 at 2:45 P.M. at Heartland Regional Medical Center in Marion. Visitation will be held at Mitchell-Hughes funeral home in Marion Sunday evening February 9, 2003 from 6-8 p.m. Funeral services will be held at Aikins-Farmer Brookport funeral home in Brookport, IL Monday at 2:00 p.m. Her body will be in state Monday from noon till time of service. Burial will follow at Massac Memorial Gardens in Metropolis. Her Brother-in-law George Bates will officiate. She was born June 23, 1931 in Metropolis. She married Robert L. Phillips on October 18, 1947. He passed away November 12, 1994. Elizabeth was a homemaker and a member of Church of Christ in Marion. Survivors include Two daughters Elizabeth Kahl and William Beal of Marion; and Roberta Hileman and Phil Pousseau of Columbia, Maryland; two Sons; Gale Phillips of Leavenworth, KS and Jimmy Phillips of Big Springs, Texas; Four grandchildren Ron Loyd of Marion, Tracy and Tammy Loyd of Marion, Diana Mitchell of Batesville, AR, and Rebecca Phillips of Big Springs, TX.
