Eva Louise Woodard, 89, of Marion passed away on Saturday, July 17, 2010 at 10:14 P.M. at Heartland Regional Medical Center.
Eva was born September 15, 1920 in Jonesboro the daughter of John E. and Clara M. (Huppert) Duschl. She married Ralph Webb Woodard on October 17, 1942 in Cape Girardeau, Missouri and together they were blessed with over 51 years of marriage until his death on December 19, 1993.
Eva enjoyed life. During her married life of over 51 years, she lived in Texas, Louisiana, California and Illinois. She was given the opportunity to travel to several different states along with places such as Mexico, Canada and Bahamas. She was able to spend a lot of quality time with her children and grandchildren who she loved very much. She also loved dogs, especially her dachshund Teddy.
Eva was a very professional seamstress along with being a beautician. In her early twenties, Eva was a shoe model for the Florsheim Shoe Company that was located in Anna. She also worked for McDonalds in Marion for a few years where she picked up the nickname, Eva the Fox. She acquired this nickname by being one of the quickest workers on the front line. She enjoyed helping people. One of her most favorite things was to share conversation over a good cup of coffee with friends and/or family. She enjoyed various styles of music including big band, country and traditional gospel hymns. She enjoyed watching the Lawrence Welk Show along with Country Music Television. Eva was also a huge St. Louis Cardinals fan. She attended several games along with watching them on TV. Eva was of the Lutheran Faith and had served as an election judge. For over 23 years she volunteered as a Pink Lady at the Marion Memorial Hospital.
Eva was a devoted wife and mother and loved her family very much. She will be sadly missed by all.

Preceded by her Parents, Husband Ralph, One Sister and Two Brothers.
Funeral services will be Friday, July 23, 2010 at 11 A.M. at Mitchell-Hughes Funeral Home in Marion with Gary Woodard and Rev. Terry Griffith officiating. Entombment will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday evening from 5 8 P.M. at the funeral home.
