Georgia Forby

Georgia Forby, 88, of Pittsburg passed away on Thursday, September 29, 2011 at 10:05 P.M. at Jonesboro Rehab. Georgia was born January 24, 1923 in Reeseville, Illinois the daughter of William and Alice (Piney) Fowler. She married Loraine Forby in April, 1961 in Tennessee and he preceded her in death in June, 1980. She was a homemaker and a member of Missionary Baptist Church of Pittsburg. Survivors include; Son Marvin Buchanan and wife Carol of East Moline, Illinois Two Daughters; Barbara Bean of Evansville, Indiana Debra Buchanan of Marion Seven Grandchildren; Joshua Martin of Marion Keith Buchanan of East Moline, Illinois William Martin of Pittsburg Brian Buchanan of Northern, Illinois Andrew Zernich of Pittsburg Diane Reason of Evansville, Indiana Michael Bean of Satellite Beach, Florida Thirteen Great Grandchildren Sister Jewell Bates of Metropolis Several nieces and nephews Proceded by her Parents, Husband, Six Sisters and Two Brothers Funeral services will be Monday, October 3, 2011 at Noon with Rev. Bobby Parker officiating. Burial will follow in Odd Fellows Cemetery in Marion. Visitation will be Monday from 10 A.M. until the time of service at the funeral home.
