Marion Geraldine Theresa Palmer, 57, died Tuesday, September 14, 2004 at 11:36 P.M. at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis. Geraldine was born July 03, 1947 to Edward and Maxine (Vilet) Trombetta in Chicago. She married John Palmer in July, 1978 in Chicago and he survives in Herrin. Survivors include: Mother Maxine Stewart of Marion, Son Scott Palmer of New Mexico, Four Daughters: Christine Hazen and husband Rusty of Pearland, TX, Tracy Garcia of Marion, Melissa Palmer of Marion, Jennifer Palmer of Herrin, Seven Grandchildren: Celest Hazen of Houston, TX, Brandon Garcia of Marion, Sara Hazen of Pearland, TX, Zachary Oliver of Marion, Tyler Palmer of Marion, Madison Palmer of Marion, Zoe Kennedy of Herrin, Brother Don Trombetta and wife Judy of Marion, Sister Arlene Guthrie of Plainfield, IL,. Several nieces and nephews. Preceded by: Father and Stepfather Jack Stewart. Funeral services will be Friday at 1:30 P.M. at Mitchell-Hughes Funeral Home in Marion. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday from 5:00 9:00 P.M. at the funeral home. For those who prefer memorials may be given to the American Heart and Lung Association, envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
