Herrin- Gerrard “Gerry” Noonan, 80, of Herrin, passed away at 10:46 PM, Sunday, May 28, 2017 at Sunshine House on Weaver Road in Herrin. Gerry was born on June 28, 1936 in Chicago, IL to Thomas V. and Opal T. (Smith) Noonan, Sr. He worked in the maintenance department for the Franklin-Williamson County workshop prior to his retirement. He was a member of the Herrin Second Baptist Church. Survivors include- Nephew- John T. Bogart and wife Diane of Feasterville, PA Nephew- Dale Bogart and wife Gayle of Lilburn, GA Nephew- Keith Bogart and wife Cindy of Levittown, PA Niece- Patricia Marietta and husband Alan of Levittown, PA Niece- Pamela Kealy of Seattle, WA Niece- Sandra Bogart- Feasterville, PA He was preceded in death by his parents, sister- Norma Bogart and her husband Edwin and brother- Thomas V. “Junie” Noonan. The funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM, Saturday, June 3, 2017 at Johnson-Hughes Funeral Home in Herrin. Pastor Matt Frizzell will officiate. Burial will follow at Herrin City Cemetery. Visitation will be from 9:00 Am until time of service, Saturday at the funeral home. The family would like to extend a sincere thank you to his many friends and caregivers at Chamness Care.
