H. Richard Moon

Marion H. Richard Moon, 79, died Thursday, February 24, 2005 at 6:00 A.M. at his residence. Richard was born January 21, 1926 to Charles & Flora (Carson) Moon in Gibson County, Tennessee. He married Nadine Eloise Luessen on November 13, 1954 in Chicago and she preceded him in death on February 03, 1982. Richard was Vice President of Sales at Norge/Maytag. He attended the University of the South and U.S. Naval Academy. He attended the First United Methodist Church in Marion. Richard is survived by: Daughter Karen Moon of Marion Son Randy & Betty Moon of Trenton, GA Granddaughter Christina Moon of Trenton, GA Step-Daughter Diana Cheek of Cleveland, TN Two Step-Grandsons: Christopher Cheek of Cleveland, TN Zachary Cheek of Cleveland, TN Sister Mary Mozies of St. Louis Park, MN Several nieces and nephews and extended family His beloved dog Butch Preceded by: Parents, Wife Nadine, Sister Faye Zizzo Funeral services will be Monday, February 28, 2005 at 11:00 A.M. at Mitchell-Hughes Funeral Home in Marion with Rev. Paul Lee officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday from 5:00 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home. For those who prefer memorials may be given to Hearts Helping Hearts or Hospice of Southern Illinois. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
