Marion- Imogene L. Hurt, 80, of Johnston City, formerly of Crawfordville, FL, passed away at 1:25 AM, Sunday, July 4, 2004 at Paradise Manor in Marion.
Imogene was born on May 30, 1924 in Lawrenceville, IL to Joseph Warren & Verna (Hensley) Robinson. She married Albert L. Hurt on August 16, 1947 in Owensville, IN. He preceded her in death on April 6, 1999.
Mrs. Hurt was a homemaker and loved her family, especially her grandkids. She was an active member of Aldersgate United Methodist Church in Marion, where she was involved with the New Life Group. She was a member of the Marion Senior Citizens and enjoyed playing pinochle with her card group there. She loved to dance. She and Albert were members of a travelling square dance club in Florida. Imogene was a skilled bowler and was awarded numerous pins for 500 series. She also won ribbons for her quiltwork.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and one brother; James Robinson.
The funeral service will be held at 10:00 A.M, Wednesday, July 7, 2004 at Mitchell-Hughes Funeral Home in Marion. Rev. Roger Russell will officiate. Burial will follow at Dillingham Cemetery in Williamson County. Visitation will be from 6-9:00 PM, Tuesday, July 6, 2004 at the funeral home.
