Pittsburg Jack A. Montague, 52, died as a result of an attack on a fuel convey in Fallujah, Iraq.
Jack was born September 12, 1951 to Chester and Betty (Barnfield) Montague in Chicago. He married Betsy Hanson and together they have shared 27 years.
Jack was an Army Veteran of the Vietnam War and previously worked on the railroad. He worked as a truck driver for the past 22 years, most recently employed by Halliburton. Jacks ambition was to go to Iraq with KBR and work for 1 year.
All who knew him thought his personality was unforgettable and he would always put a smile on your face.

Funeral services will be held Sunday, April 25, 2004 at 2:00 P.M. in Mitchell-Hughes Funeral Home in Marion with Dr. Joey Brent officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery. Military Rites will be performed by VFW Post #1301 of Marion. Visitation will be Saturday from 5:00 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
For those who prefer memorials may be made to St. Judes Children Hospital or First Baptist Church of Marion.
