Jackie Eugene Whitehead

Jackie Whitehead, 67, of Marion, passed away unexpectedly at his residence on Thursday, November 9, 2023.  He was born on April 5, 1956, in Marion, Illinois.

Jackie worked in construction for over 40 years, specializing in floor installation. He enjoyed being outdoors and often times could be found playing a round of golf.  His fishing rod was also always baited and ready to go.  Jackie loved catching fish so that he could later host a fish fry for his family and good friends.  Family gatherings were very important to him.

He is survived by his parents, Coy and Jeanie Franklin; his sister, Becky Robertson; his children, Amy (Josh Johnson) Whitehead, Daniel (Erica) Whitehead, Rachel (Keith) Dasilva; his grandson Beau Whitehead and granddaughter on the way; his nephews, Jason Robertson, Jared (Heather) Robertson; his great niece, Remi Robertson; his aunt, Norma Miner; mother of his children, Michele Haseker-Whitehead; his best friend, Sherry Ray; and his precious fur-buddy Jordan, along with other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Mike Whitehead and cousin, Randy Whitehead.
