Cambria-Joseph E. Joe Davis, passed away 6:45 P.M., Monday, May 17, 2004 at his residence. Joe was born March 8, 1923 in Hopkinsville, Kentucky to George Elgin & Ruby Maude (Stevens) Davis. He was retired from Allen Industries in Herrin where he was a lift driver. Survivors Include: Daughter & Son In Law: Sharon & Allan Hardin of Cobden Two Sons: Eugene Davis of Herrin Mike Davis of Herrin Loving Companion: Emma Davis of Carterville Sister: Mary Castardo of Naples, FL. Preceded by parents, one infant son, Bruce Wayne Davis, grandson, Mark Allen Rogers, Brother, Charles Davis and two sisters Beatrice Lentz and Florine Jeralds. Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M., Thursday, May 20, 2004 at Johnson-Hughes Funeral Home with Rev. Ralph Brandon officiating. Burial will follow at Herrin City Cemetery. Visitation will be 1:00 to 2:00 P.M. at the funeral home on Thursday. Memorials may be made to Hospice of Southern Illinois.
