Kristy Jo (Hodge) Jeffords

Kristy Jo Jeffords, of Marion, passed away on Saturday, July 20, 2024, with her loving family by her side.  Kristy was born June 6, 1976, in Herrin, Illinois. She grew up in rural Marion with her parents and siblings.

She was a graduate of Marion High School Class of 1994. She played basketball up until her high school years and was a fierce competitor on the court. She later attended JALC and SIU. Kristy met the love of her life, Billy Jeffords, while sharing a haybale around a bonfire on a crisp autumn evening in 1997. The two fell instantly in love. Kristy and Billy were united in marriage in a fairytale wedding at Ceaser's Palace in Las Vegas, Nevada, on September 6, 2003.  Later, the loving couple would add Conor and Corbin to their family circle to make their world complete.

Kristy fulfilled many roles throughout her life, but the most important one to her was being the best mother and wife she could, and she definitely was. Family has always been everything to Kristy. She maintained a tight bond with her parents and siblings. She always considered her close friends as family. She would do anything for them, as they would do anything for her.

Kristy loved the outdoors and lived out her dream on her farm with her husband, boys, and her many goats that were all her children as well. Kristy was a one-of-a-kind, beautiful soul that will be dearly missed by all that knew her. Her radiant smile and beautiful big brown eyes will live forever in all of our hearts.

She is survived by her loving husband of 20 years, Billy Jeffords; her sons Conor Liam and Corbin Patrick; her parents Bonnie Harris (Bill), Darrel Hodge (Lisa); her siblings Jason Hodge (Jami), Laura Christopher (Dax); her brother-in-law Benjy Jeffords (Whitney), along with many nieces and nephews that loved her dearly, and her lifelong friend, Chasity Donelson.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 24, 2024, from 5:00 – 8:00 P.M. at Binkley-Ross Funeral Home located at 1702 West Boulevard Street, Marion, Illinois. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home on Thursday, July 25, 2024, at 10:30 A.M. with Pastor Eddie Donelson officiating. Interment will follow in Busby Cemetery in Goreville, Illinois.

In lieu of customary remembrances, the family requests with gratitude that memorial donations be directed to the family to be used for educational expenses for her boys.
