OBITUARY

Larry "Casey" Elwyn Jones, 84, of Marion, Illinois, passed away on October 31, 2021, at Shawnee Senior Living Facility in Herrin, Illinois, surrounded by his family.

Larry was born on August 4, 1937, in Casey, Illinois, the son of Glenn and Edith (Smith) Jones.

Mr. Jones married Jeanne (Cooksey) Jones in 1961. Together they shared and celebrated 60 years of marriage. From that union they had two daughters, Jennifer (Brian) Jones-Hall; and Jackie (Guy Edwards) Jones.

Larry was a graduate of Southern Illinois University. After college he pursued a lengthy career of 32 years in sales with the Upjohn Company, currently known as Pfizer.

Mr. Jones enjoyed the outdoors, and with a certain amount of determination, he would often try to convince the waters to give up their bounty of fish, he would set the hook and reel them in. He also understood that the best shot in golf is always your next one. He was very well versed and a good conversationalist.
