Lloyd H. Marks

Marion- Mr. Lloyd H. "Harpo" Marks, age 81, of Marion, Ill., died Sunday, May 11, 2003, at Franklin Hospital in Benton, Ill. Lloyd was born on May 6, 1922 in Marion to Virgil & Ulva (Buckner) Marks. He married Venita Ward on June 28, 1942 in Cape Girardeau, MO. Lloyd was a WWII Army Veteran having served in the Ninth Armored Division. He worked for Mutual of Omaha and was a Charter Member of Parrish Park Baptist Church. He was also a member of Marion Masonic Lodge #89. SURVIVORS: Wife- Venita Marks- Marion Son-Dennis Marks & wife Donna of Marion, Ill. Brother-Bob Marks & wife Mary Seven grandchildren Eleven great-grandchildren His parents preceded him in death. A graveside funeral service will be at Rose Hill Cemetery at 11:00 AM Tuesday, May 13, 2003; Rev. David Anderson will officiate. Interment will be at Rose Hill Cemetery in Marion.
