Mae Earl

Herrin- Mae Earl, 93, of Herrin, passed away at 12:40 AM, Sunday, April 30, 2006 at Herrin Hospital. Mae was born on September 4, 1912 in Buncombe to James Lawrence & Pearl Mavie (Jones) Stewart. She married Carl Jefferson Earl on April 16, 1932 in Herrin. He preceded her in death on June 5, 1980. Mrs. Earl was a homemaker and an active member of Herrin Second Baptist Church. In her spare time she enjoyed baking and spending time with her family. SURVIVORS: Nephew- Jim Stewart & wife Joan- Energy Niece- Jean Leach & husband Brian - Sugarland, TX Niece- Judy Brown & husband Don - OFallon, IL Nephew- George Earl & wife Marlene- Elk Grove Village, IL Niece- Anita Earl- Westchester, IL Niece- Patricia Smith & husband Lewis- Elk Grove Village, IL Nephew- John Earl- West Frankfort Niece- Joy & husband Dr. Daniel Roth- Herrin Special Cousin- Bert Dismukes- Metropolis, IL Several great nieces and nephews and great great nieces and nephews She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, twin brother; Eddie Stewart, and one nephew; Carl Earl. The funeral service will be at 11:00 AM, Wednesday, May 3, 2006 at Johnson-Hughes Funeral Home in Herrin. Dr. Jerry Ford will officiate. Burial will follow at East Lawn Memorial Gardens in Herrin. Visitation will be from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM, Tuesday, May 2, 2006 at the funeral home.
