Mark Randall Mapps

Mark R. Mapps, 64, of Marion, Illinois, passed away on June 16, 2024, at Helia Healthcare in Energy, Illinois. Mark was born on December 20, 1959, the son of Eddie and Florence Marie Mapps.  He married Cindy Moake on September 30, 1994.  Together they have shared 29 years of marriage.

Mark was employed by the family business Mapps Tree Service where he has worked for over 40 years. He also enjoyed tinkering in his garage while listening to his rock and roll on the radio.  He loved to be outdoors, and he had many friends.

He is survived by his wife, Cindy Mapps; his brother David Mapps; his sister-in-law and brother-in-law Kathy and Curt Frey; his nephews Brandon Crosson, Landon Frey, Dustin Mapps, and Dillon Mapps; his nieces Miranda Stearns, and Olivia Frey; his great-nieces and nephews Asher Loucks, Silas Loucks, and River Essary, along with other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Eddie and Marie Mapps; and his brother Ronnie Mapps.

Binkley-Ross Funeral Home has been entrusted to assist the family with arrangements.  All services will be private.
