Funeral Services for Morris E. Groves, Jr, is Thursday, December 19, 2024, at 12:00 p.m. at Binkley Ross Funeral Home located at 1702 West Boulevard Street, Marion, Illinois. The family will receive friends at the funeral home at 10:00 a.m. until service time. Interment will follow at Odd Fellows Cemetery, Marion, Illinois.

Mr. Groves, 73 Years old, died Sunday, December 15, 2024, at his residence. He is a retired custodian for Gleason, TN schools and McKenzie Elementary School. He was born in Metropolis, Illinois on April 4, 1951, to the late Morris E. Groves and Lora McDaniels Groves.

He is survived by his wife Fay Groves of McKenzie, two daughters Angel (William) Phillips of Chester, Illinois, and Tonya (Kris) Presler of Herrin, Illinois, a son John (Ravyn) Taylor of Simpsonville, South Carolina, three sisters Irene Anderson of Marion, Illinois, Jane Seals of McComb, Illinois and Diane Groves of Arizona., three brothers Billy Groves of Marion, Illinois, Everett Groves of Cincinnati, Ohio and Raymond Groves of Carterville, Illinois, ten grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parents, daughter Tammy Groves, sisters Dinah Dollar and Judy Krasselt and brothers Terry Groves and John Logan Groves.
