Marion Myrtie E. Meadows, 100, died Wednesday, June 09, 2004 at 9:17 P.M. in Parkway Manor. Myrtie was born May 09, 1904 in Williamson County to John and Nellie (Ollis) Boyt. She married Hubert Meadows in Johnston City on August 24, 1923 and he preceded her in death on June 30, 1966. Myrtie was a homemaker, she worked briefly for Sangamo Electric. She attended the First Nazarene Church. Survivors include: Daughter Betty Klope of Harrisburg, Daughter & Son-in-law Fran and Lyle Draper of Marion, Daughter Violet Frey of Marion, Nine (9) Grandchildren, Twenty-Two (22) Great Grandchildren, Fourteen (14) Great-Great Grandchildren, Sister Edith Felts of Makanda, Sister-in-law - Loree Willmore, Sister-in-law - Theda Cole. Preceded by: Parents, Husband, One (1) Grandson Michael Poirot, Two (2) Sons-in-law James Klope and Lawrence Frey, One (1) Sister Sally Brown, Three (3) Brothers Arlie Boyt, Jack Boyt and Charlie Boyt and Nephew - Charles Boyt. Funeral services will be Saturday, June 12, 2004 at 11:00 A.M. at Mitchell-Hughes Funeral Home in Marion with Rev. Paul Lee officiating. Burial will follow in Maplewood Cemetery.
