Pamela Sue Harris, of Marion, passed away on July 25th with her loving family by her side. She was born on October 14, 1956, in St. Louis, Missouri, raised in Kirkwood, Missouri, daughter of Jesse and Florence (Freeman) Berry.
Pam worked many different jobs throughout her life, but she most enjoyed working at the River Boat Casino as a Blackjack dealer in Metropolis, Illinois. She loved spending time with her family and friends and had a “green thumb” to plant anything! She loved participating in the local and regional Poker Runs that served as fundraisers for children and veterans. Pam was a kind and gentle soul who recently rededicated her life to Christ.
Pam Harris was preceded in death by her brother, Thomas Berry and a grandson, Brent Compton. She is survived by her husband Steve Harris, 3 daughters and 2 stepsons, Philena & Brad Hope, Michelle & Chris Compton, Danielle & Jon Kluge, Ken Wayne Harris, and Royce Wayne Harris. Pam’s surviving siblings are Patty & Jack Armstrong, Micheal Berry, Joann Golbow, and a sister-in-law, Norma Berry.
Surviving grandchildren include Jacob & Johanna Young, Zachary Young, Phoenix Hope, Dylan Hope, Trevor Hope, Nicole and Micah Thomas, Samantha Allen, Chastity & Ashton Charlet, Haley Nicks, and Sean Kluge.
Surviving great-grandchildren include Reid Young, Tegan and Myah Thomas, Triton and Korra Charlet, Paislee Jo Norris, and Karson Nicks.
Binkley-Ross Funeral Home has been entrusted to assist the family with arrangements, The visitation will be held on Monday, July 29th at Binkley-Ross Funeral Home, 1702 West Boulevard Street, Marion, Illinois. Family, private viewing will take place from 3-4:30 pm. Friends are welcome to attend from 4:30-6:00 pm.
