Paul Burns

Marion Paul E. Burns, 82, died at 3:45 P.M. Wednesday, November 17, 2004 in Heartland Regional Medical Center in Marion. Paul was an only child born August 26, 1922 to Chloe & Lillie (Eason) Burns in West Frankfort. He married Betty Sandlin on October 07, 1945 in Marion and she survives in Marion. Paul was Warehouse Manager for United Manufacturing for 31 years. He was a member and former deacon of 1st Christian Church. Paul served in WWII in the European Theater (Infantry) receiving a Purple Heart. He was a member of D.A.V. Survivors include: Wife Betty Burns of Marion Two Sons: James Paul Burns of Marion Lanny Burns and wife Sally of Marion Preceded by: Parents Funeral services will be Saturday, November 20, 2004 at 2:00 P.M. at Mitchell-Hughes Funeral Home in Marion with Rev. Bill Rucker officiating. Burial will follow in Odd Fellows Cemetery. Visitation will be Saturday from 1:00 P.M. until the time of service at the funeral home.
