Rena K. Caliper

Herrin- Rena K. Caliper, 88, of Mascoutah, formerly of Herrin, died Tuesday, December 30, 2003 at 11:50 A.M. in Grange Nursing Home in Mascoutah. Rena was born July 01, 1915 to Louis & Louisa (Ruffino) Berrolatti in Herrin. She married Dante Caliper in 1941 in Ina and he survives in Herrin. Rena was a Registered Nurse for the Herrin Hospital and Carbondale Clinic. She was a member of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church Catholic Church. Survivors include: Son Jerry Caliper and wife Rhuann of Mascoutah Granddaughter Rhuann Natae Caliper-Medico and husband Alex of St. Louis Grandson Jared B. Caliper of Mascoutah Three (3) Nieces; Rosalie Locey and husband Leonard of Naperville, IL Marsha Calcaterra and husband Jim of Michigan Francis Tregoning and husband Tom of Carterville Two (2) Nephews; Tom Caliper and wife Debbie of Marion Louis Berrolatti and wife Ruth Ann of Robinson, IL Preceded by: Parents, Brother Joe Berrolatti The funeral mass will be held at 11:00 AM, Friday, January 02, 2004 at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church in Herrin. Monsignor Ken Schaefer will officiate. Burial will follow at San Carlo Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday from 9:30 A.M. until the time of service, also at the church. Johnson-Hughes Funeral Home in Herrin is in charge of arrangements. Memorials may be made to the Alzheimers Association or the Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Renovation Fund, and will be available both at the church and funeral home.
