Robert "Bob" Boozer

Robert Charles Boozer, of Dade City, Florida formerly of Marion passed away on Saturday November 14, 2009 at 7:04 P.M. at the Hospice Care Center surrounded by his loving wife and family. Bob was born January 28, 1944 in Marion the son of Charles and Wilda (Wilkins) Boozer. He married Marilyn Chamness on October 23, 1965 and together they have shared over 44 years of marriage. He retired from GTE/Verizon following 39 years of service; he then worked with Marilyn in her business. Bob and Marilyn were blessed with two children, their daughter Kimberly Jayne Boozer of Brandon, Florida and son Gregory Charles Scott Boozer and his wife Sharon their daughter Brooke Katelyn Boozer of Durham, North Carolina. Brother Rev. Jimmie Boozer and his wife Marjorie K., Sister Cheryl Stewart and her husband Jackie, Uncle Ronald Wilkins and his wife Dorothy all of Marion. Two sister in laws Jane Anderson of Sun City, Florida, Susan Chamness of Coulterville and brother in law Issac Chamness and wife Dora of Tenstrike, Minnesota. Many nieces, nephews and good friends. Preceded in death by his parents, paternal grandparents Charles & Maude Boozer, maternal grandparents Clarence & Eva Wilkins, great niece Tasha Boozer, mother and father in law Lawrence & Mabel Chamness, brother in laws Billy (Scott) Anderson and Gary Chamness. Graveside services will be Monday, November 23, 2009 at 1:30 P.M. at Rose Hill Cemetery. The service will be officiated by Whitney ODaniel. Visitation will be Monday from 11 A.M. until the time of service at Mitchell-Hughes Funeral Home. For those who prefer memorials may be made to the Moffitt Cancer Center, Bone Marrow Treatment Unit or the HPH Hospice East Pasco Care Center of Dade City, Florida.
