OBITUARY

Ronald Gene Bernhard, a loyal and faithful servant of the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, completed his earthly journey at 7:45 Monday evening, November 15, 2021, at Reflections Memory Care. He was born in Anna, IL, on May 18, 1936, to the late David and Lexie Bernhard. He was a Navy Veteran, retired electrician from Southern IL Power Coop. and member of First Baptist Church. He is best known as "Bernie", he will be remembered as a caring father and husband who had a great sense of humor and never met a stranger. Work was his passion; he could always be found fixing or improving something. Always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone in need.

Ron is survived by his wife of 62 years, Linda Sue (Moore) Bernhard; one son, Brad (Kathy) Bernhard of Kirkwood, MO, and two daughters; Traci (David Curry) of Paducah, KY and Jennifer (Joe Becker) of Fenton, MO; six grandchildren, Ian (Abbey) Bernhard of Ft. Lauderdale, FL, Thomas Bernhard of St. Louis, MO, Kaitlyn (Blake Jones) of Nashville, TN, Jacob Curry of Nashville, TN, Luke Becker and Laney Becker of Fenton, MO. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Carolyn Dippie.

At noon, Friday, November 19, 2021, a funeral service will be held at Binkley-Ross Funeral Home of Marion, IL, with Bob Dickerson officiating. Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until noon service time on Friday, November 19, 2021, at Binkley-Ross Funeral Home.

Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to Hospice of Southern Illinois Inc., 204 Halfway Rd, Marion, IL 62959 or the Alzheimer's Association, 9370 Olive Boulevard, St. Louis, MO 63132.
