Herrin- Ronald Eugene Walker, 55, of Energy, died at 2:55 AM, Thursday, May 27, 2004 at Cardinal Health Care Center in Energy. Ronald was born on February 3, 1949 in Herrin to Orval Lee & Bessie (Owens) Walker. Bessie survives of Herrin. Mr. Walker was a member of West Monroe Apostolic Church in Herrin. SURVIVORS: Mother- Bessie Walker- Herrin Brother & sis in law- Henry & Tillie Walker- Murphysboro Brother & sis in law- Loren & Patty Walker- Hurst Sister- Darlene Allen & fianc Jim Smith- Johnston City Sister- Marilyn Gibbons- Johnston City Several nieces & nephews He was preceded in death by his father, two brothers; Larry Joe & Orval Walker; Jr., and one sister; Letha Mae Walker. The funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM, Saturday, May 29, 2004 at Johnson-Hughes Funeral Home in Herrin. Rev. Terry Griffith will officiate. Burial will follow at Lakeview Cemetery in Johnston City. Visitation will be from 11:00 AM until time of service, Saturday at the funeral home.
