Mrs. Sooryun “Sachiko” Lee Larrow's Story

June 30, 1938 - March 8, 2025

Sooryun “Sachiko” Lee Larrow also known as Momma-san - age 86 of Round Rock, Texas, formerly of Riverview, Florida went Home to be with the Lord while in Herrin, Illinois on a deaf revival weekend with her daughter, Marie S. Aguado. She was filled with the Holy Spirit on Friday, March 7, 2025, after watching ASL Jesus Movie at CLC church in Herrin, Illinois. Then Saturday, March 8, 2025, our beautiful Momma-san went home to be with our Heavenly Father.

Sooryun “Sachiko” Lee Larrow was born on June 30, 1938, in Hiroshima, Japan to Hoseki and Dani (TEI) RI. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She passed away peacefully, leaving behind a lifetime of cherished memories.

Momma-san was a homemaker when her kids were younger, then when they were grown, she was a front-end clerk at Kash n’ Karry in Riverview, Florida for 26 years until she retired in 2011. She found immense joy in raising her kids, sewing, gardening, and loved cooking her Japanese and Korean recipes. She loved the Lord and would talk about Him, how He loved us, and how we need to love others like Jesus. She loved family/church gatherings and cherished all those memories. She touched everyone with her laugh and smile, no matter where she went. She loved going to her church, ASLDC (Austin Spirit of Life Deaf Church), whether she was sitting at home watching her favorite station, KXAN, Christian movie, or spending time with loved ones or just in the car for the ride, she embraced life with a bright and cheerful spirit. Sooryun (Sachiko/Momma-san) loved sharing about her family and life in Japan growing up.

Momma-san is survived by her children, James Patrick (Kelly) Larrow, Marie Sachiko (Greg) Aguado, Shawn Lee Larrow, her treasured grandchildren, Kiana Alexis Rivera, Noah Castle Lopp, Lila Abigayle Larrow.  She is also survived by her ex-husband, Thomas M. Larrow. She is also survived by her siblings, Shurei RI, Hanako RI, as well as many nieces, nephews, and dear friends. She is also survived by additional beloved family Jasmin M. Gonzalez (Liam and Rosie Gonzalez), Alex G. Aguado, and Mario L. Aguado.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Hoseki and Dani (TEI) RI; her daughter, Sachiko Jessica Larrow; her grandchildren, Liam James Larrow, Mali Ida Larrow and her brothers, Sorei RI, Misuzu RI.

In accordance with her wishes, Sooryun “Sachiko” Lee Larrow will be cremated, and her ashes will be taken to the family plot in Connecticut. The celebration of life will take place in Austin, Texas “details for the celebration of life will be announced at a later time". Binkley-Ross Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

“"In lieu of flowers, you can donate to Austin Spirit of Life Deaf Church for a building fund in her honor (She prayed for ASLDC to have their own building to reach more deaf souls). This church was her home and community. She loved coming to ASLDC and all the friends that became family to her!

Momma-san’s love, warmth, and kindness will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved her. 2 Timothy 1:4 “I long to see you again, for I remember your tears as we parted. And I will be filled with joy when we are together again”.

On behalf of Sooryun “Sachiko” Lee Larrow [Momma-san], her family extends their greatest appreciation to the doctors (especially Dr. Girardi), nurses and staff workers of SI Herrin Emergency Room, for all the care and assistance for everything you did for our Momma-san, til she took her last breath. We also would like to thank all of her wonderful friends she made at Christian Life Church Deaf Church, Pastor Becky and family, Rev. Deann Dirkx and Franky and Jamie for being with me (Marie S. Aguado) in the emergency room. Thank you to Pastor Debbie Stiles, and Austin Spirit of Life Deaf Church for not just being a church but a family.
