Stella M. Beasley
MARION-Stella M. Beasley, 84, of Marion went home peacefully surrounded by her family to be with her Lord at 4:50 AM, Wednesday, December 14, 2005 at Heartland Regional Medical Center in Marion.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 PM, Friday, December 16, 2005 at the Walnut Hill Freewill Baptist Church, 2 miles south of Crab Orchard on Saraville Road with Reverend Steve Shea officiating. Visitation will be from 5:00 to 8:00 PM, Thursday, December 15, 2005 at the Blue Funeral Home in Marion and from 12:00 until 1:30 PM at the church on Friday. Burial will be at Ferrell Cemetery, south of Crab Orchard. Memorials may be made to Camp Jericho, envelopes will be available at the funeral home and the church or may be sent c/o Blue Funeral Home, PO Box 411, Marion, IL 62959.
Mrs. Beasley was born on December 10, 1921 in Williamson County, Illinois to Esco and Artie Bell (Holmes) Bundren. She married Loren Ray Beasley on February 14, 1943, he preceded her in death on February 2, 1981.
Survivors include her children, Jerry and Sharon Beasley of Marion, Gary and Charlotte Beasley of Marion, Carolyn and Jerry Schell of Pittsburg, and Glenda Lang of Marion; grandchildren, Bryan Beasley, Brent Beasley, Tena Smith, Amber Thompson, Larissa Taylor, Garrett Beasley, Jo Anna Clark and Terry Schell; and great grandchildren, Brittany, Brandon, Brooklyn and Brady Smith, Alexis and Abagail Thompson, Bronteâ, Blayze and Brielle Taylor, Nathan Beasley, Connor Clark and Jaden and Gracelin Schell.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; two brothers, J.T. Bundren and Cecil Bundren; and sister, Juanita Cline.
Mrs. Beasley was a charter member of the Walnut Hill Freewill Baptist Church. She was a homemaker, she loved to sing and cook.
She was faithful to her God, her family and her church.
