Tony Sena passed away peacefully at the age of 93 with his family by his side on June 1, 2023. He was born on October 20, 1929, in Las Animas, Colorado, the son of Julian and Guadalupe Sena.
After serving in the Air Force during the Korean War, Tony had a long career with the Veteran’s Administration Hospital as the Chief of Supply. Upon retirement, Tony devoted himself to volunteering and became a beloved fixture in the Marion community. He was also a self-taught artist who discovered a gift for painting and shared this gift with family and many friends.
Tony married the love of his life, Susan, on February 13, 1957, and they shared 66 years of marriage. Tony was graced with a large and loving family including three children, Rhonda, Lisa and Gabe; sons-in-law, Brent, Jeff and Kenny; four grandchildren, Caroline, Nick, Ben and Christine; siblings, Benny, Julian, Viola, Estella, Lawrence, Gilbert, Maggie, Ernestine, Anita and Mary Alice, as well as many nieces and nephews.
His family and friends will always cherish his sense of humor, kindness, creativity, easy charm and optimistic spirit.
A funeral Mass will be held at 10am on Saturday June 24, 2023, at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Marion. Binkley-Ross Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to the Marion Knights of Columbus.
