Tuffy Murphy

MARION-Tuffy Murphy, 54, passed away at 10:24 a.m., Saturday, Nov. 13th, 2004 in Herrin Hospital. Tuffy was born on July 29th, 1950, the son of Melvin and Cora McGuire Murphy in Elkville, Il. His parents, brother Orville and sister in law Eileen Murphy all preceded him in death. Survivors include his brother Jerry Murphy, sister Vinnie and brother in law Richard Hall, paternal aunt Jewell and Bob Hudgens all of Marion. Also several nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends. During his life he enjoyed the outdoors, fishing and hunting , a love for the game of pool and was an avid player. He was a good-natured person with never a crossword to say. We never met anyone who wasnt his friend. Tuffy;s friends meant the world to him. He was cherished by his family and will be sadly missed by all. Visitation will be held at Mitchell Hughes Funeral Home in Marion from 12-2 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 16th. . Services will follow immediately at 2 p.m. His wishes were to be cremated.
