Vikki Rene Swain

Vikki Swain, 71, of Marion, passed away peacefully at Herrin Hospital on Tuesday, May 28, 2024, surrounded by the love of her family.  She was born in Marion, Illinois on April 3, 1953.  She was the daughter of Donald and Betty Tisch.

Vikki graduated from Marion High School in 1971.  She was a caring, compassionate, and considerate friend, who enjoyed being around her friends and close family. She often entertained them by preparing meals and great visits.  She is fondly remembered for her people-watching skills, her teasing ways with close family and her always cheerful personality.  She took an annual trip to Holiday World that she shared with her best friend and Goddaughter, Makayla.  She deeply cared for her “furbabies”, Willow, Grizzly, Shelby, and Riot.

She is survived by her sister Stacey (Carla Ernfelt) Tisch; and her Goddaughter Makayla Arroyo.  She was predeceased by her parents Donald and Betty Tisch.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Binkley-Ross Funeral Home.  Graveside services will be held on Friday, May 31, 2024, at Rosehill Cemetery in Marion, Illinois at 10:45 AM.  Those wishing to attend should meet at the cemetery shortly before the service start time.  In lieu of customary remembrances the family requests with gratitude that memorial contributions be directed to Hospice of Southern Illinois. Envelopes will be available at the service.
