Herrin-Violet Kathryn Miller,87,died 2:10 A.M., Wednesday, October 27, 2004 at Friendship Care Center in Herrin. She was born July 2, 1917 in Anna, Illinois to Jesse & Kitten (English) Bizzell. She was a member of the First Christian Church in Anna. She was retired, having worked as a medical record transcriptionist in hospitals in Southern Illinois and Arizona. She enjoyed knitting & crocheting. Survivors Include: Two Daughters & Son In Laws: Barbara & William Donohue of Sun City, AZ. Jean Barwick & husband Paul of Herrin Three Sons: Ron Gray of Sun City, AZ. Sam Gray of Glendale, AZ. Jim Miller & wife Linda of Herrin Daughter In Law: Kaye Miller of Herrin Eleven Grandchildren Twenty Eight Great Grandchildren Brother: Jack Bizzell & wife Peggy of Morehead, KY. Nephew: Jeff Bizzell of Morehead, KY. She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother Jesse Bizzell, Jr. and one son Bill Miller. Funeral services will be 1:00 P.M., Thursday, October 28, 2004 at Johnson-Hughes Funeral Home with Rev. Richard Pearce officiating. Burial will follow at Herrin City Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday from 11:00 A.M. til 1:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Memorial Donations may be given to Hospice of Southern Illinois.
