William John Daniel Jr. “Bill”

William John Daniel Jr, (83) of Westmoreland City, Pennsylvania, passed away on August 16, 2022, at Westmoreland Hospital.  He was born on November 18, 1938, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.  He was the son of the late William John Daniel Sr. and Caroline Martin (nee Christman). William attended Springdale High School, where he met his wife and graduated in 1956.

William, U.S. Air Force Veteran, served from 1956 - 1960. He was a long-time member of MENSA and a lifetime member of the NRA. He will be remembered for those affiliations, his love of photography, animals, and his computer skills / knowledge dating back to the early 1960’s. William has resided in Westmoreland City for the last 13 years.

William is survived by his two sons, Dennis and Mathew Daniel; his grandchildren, Becky Combs of Vancouver, Washington, Kole Daniel and Paiton Daniel of Lowell, Indiana, as well as five great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife Geraldine Daniel (nee Girard) in 2003.

Binkley-Ross Funeral Home has been entrusted to assist the family with arrangements.  A small graveside ceremony will be held at the Rosehill Cemetery in Marion, Illinois, on September 2, 2022, at 1:00 pm, with Pastor Wade Halva officiating.

In lieu of customary remembrances the family requests with gratitude that memorial contributions be directed to the Marion VFW Honor Guard.
